Pet-Safe Halloween Treats

Fright-night candies like chocolate, raisins and snacks with artificial sweetener Xylitol are no good for animals. Give your critter healthy alternatives like these instead:

Canned Pumpkin- Add a spoonful to your dog's dry food. He'll dig the taste and get vitamins A, C and E.

Blueberries- Keep a carton handy and dole a few out as an occasional nibble. The antioxidants will help strengthen your pet's immune system.

Sweet Potato- Bake one, let it cool and scoop a bit into her bowl. Dogs love the sweetness and it's safe for cats as well. Plus, it'll give them extra fiber.

Fish- To your kitty, this is like scoring a whole goody bag. Cook a sliver as a special surprise. The fatty acids in salmon or other fish can help her grow a lustrous coat.

Barkarita- A Tasty Doggy Drink

Pour your pooch a cocktail, he'll lap up this vet-approved refresher.
